Your product must have arrived at your premises, and it is recommended to perform a prior inspection.

The product should be located as close as possible to the installation site, preferably on the same floor.

You should have the necessary electrical and water connections, detailed as follows:

      • For REFRIGERATORS: You should have a ½” HI or HE (Internal Thread or External Thread) metallic water valve located no more than 2-3 meters away in the same room where the product will be placed. The floor where the product will be located should be firm and level. The designated area for the product should be clear and unobstructed. There should be a nearby water source or supply. If the water source is a water jug, the customer should have a water  pump or similar device. The product should be positioned away from heat sources for optimal operation.
      • For WASHING MACHINES: You should have at least one ½” HI cold water metallic valve with a ¾” outlet. You also need to have the proper drainage for the washing machine, with a height of 90-115 cm. The floor where the product will be located should be firm and level.
      • For EXTRACTORS: You should have at least a 6″ grease extraction duct for 90 cm extractors, and a 4 ¼” duct for 60 cm and 76 cm extractors.
      • For WATER HEATERS: You should have a 4″ heat extraction duct, a ½” gas outlet, and a ½” hot and cold water outlet as close as possible to the installation site. The heater should not be installed in an outdoor space or enclosed room.
      • For BUILT-IN GAS STOVES:  You should have a suitable gas outlet located.
      • Para ESTUFAS DE GAS CON HORNO: You should have a 110V electrical connector and anchoring points at the base. The gas connection should be made with a heat-resistant hose of ½” x 3/8″ FLARE.
      • For GAS OVENS: You should have a 110V electrical connector and anchoring points at the base. The gas connection should be made with a heat-resistant hose of ½” x ½” FLARE.
      • For ELECTRIC OVENS: You should have a 220V electrical connection with a #10 AWG cable and a grounding connection.
      • For BUILT-IN MICROWAVES: You should have a 110V electrical connector and anchoring points at the base.

Regarding the electrical connection details for your product, it is recommended to have a dedicated power outlet near the installation site, avoiding the use of adapters or extensions that may cause issues.

After receiving a new refrigerator, it is recommended to follow these steps before using it:

Allow the unit to settle: After transporting the refrigerator to your home, it is important to leave it in an upright position and unconnected for at least 4 hours. This allows the refrigerant gases to stabilize and prevents potential operational issues.

Connect and power on: After the settling time has passed, you can connect the refrigerator to the power source and turn it on following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Stabilization: Once the refrigerator is operating, it is recommended to wait at least 24 hours before placing fresh food inside. During this time, the internal temperature will stabilize and reach optimal cooling levels, which are typically +4°C for the refrigerator and -18°C for the freezer.

By following these steps, you will allow the refrigerator to adjust properly and ensure optimal performance. It is important to note that these times may vary depending on the manufacturer and the specific model of the refrigerator, so it is always advisable to consult the user manual provided by the manufacturer.

To install the water supply line in your refrigerator, it is important to carefully follow the instructions provided in the specific user manual for your model. These instructions will provide precise details and ensure proper installation. It is essential to note that KTC is not responsible for any damage caused by incorrect appliance connections, and any service call to correct such issues will incur additional charges.

I would suggest referring to the installation steps in the user manual for your RC-70WS refrigerator model, specifically on pages 10, 11, and 12. In those pages, you will find detailed instructions along with corresponding images that will guide you through the process of installing the water supply or filter. These instructions are provided by the manufacturer and are specific to your refrigerator model, ensuring a safe and correct installation.

Remember, it is important to follow the instructions in the user manual and take note of any warnings or precautions mentioned. If you have any questions or concerns during the installation, I recommend consulting the manual or contacting KTC’s customer service for additional assistance.

The RC-70WS refrigerator and all KTC models should be placed at a distance of 50-70 mm from the wall. This separation allows for proper air circulation around the refrigerator, which is important for optimal operation. Maintaining this distance prevents the accumulation of heat generated by the refrigerator and ensures better energy efficiency. Additionally, it facilitates access to the back of the refrigerator for cleaning and maintenance tasks when necessary. Remember to consult the specific user manual for your refrigerator model to obtain precise instructions regarding the recommended location and space for installation.

Recommendations for selecting the best location for the refrigerator:

Ensure that the chosen location has easy access to a water supply.

Avoid placing the refrigerator in areas directly exposed to sunlight.

Select a place with a level or nearly level floor for proper stability of the refrigerator.

Leave enough space around the refrigerator to allow for easy door opening.

Ensure there is sufficient space for proper circulation of internal cooling system air.

Insufficient space may cause the internal cooling system to not function optimally.

Avoid installing the refrigerator in areas where the temperature is below 50°F (10°C).

By following these recommendations, you will be able to select the optimal location for your refrigerator, ensuring its efficient operation and prolonging its lifespan.

Una vez que la unidad se encuentra en su casa, usted debe:
  • Dejar que el aparato se asiente (Gas) durante 4 horas.
  • A continuación, conéctelo y enciéndalo

  • Inspection or survey of the installation site, which involves checking the available space, electrical outlets, water connections, extraction ducts for extractors, and pre-arranged built-in equipment spaces provided by the customer.
  • Product installation, including the removal of fixing elements such as anchor bolts or transport bases.
  • Product familiarization, which involves explaining the product features, providing instructions on its operation, and addressing any customer inquiries.
  • For refrigerators: placement of the product in the designated area within the same room, connection to the water source and electrical outlet, installation of the filter (if included), attachment of handles (if included), basic configuration, automatic testing (if the product has this function), and a basic demonstration of functions to the customer. Installation of a water pump is also included, but it must be provided and acquired by the customer prior to installation.
  • Disassembly or removal of doors and/or windows from the premises.
  • Uninstallation, movement, or disconnection of the old product (additional charges apply if requested by the customer).
  • Plumbing work, electrical work, drilling, or furniture movement that requires altering the infrastructure of the premises.
  • Moving the product from one floor to another (it is important to have the product as close as possible to the installation location).
